PROGRAMMING LAB

The Programming lab provides facilities to the students, to practice coding, develop software applications, and conduct experiments related to programming concepts. It allows learners to implement theoretical knowledge gained from textbooks and lectures into practical scenarios, gaining hands-on experience and reinforcing their understanding of programming principles. The lab is utilised for languages like Python, Java and, C .The lab is equipped with 40 machines with Ubuntu 22.04 LTS.

DATA ANALYTICS LAB

A Data Analytics Lab is a specialized facility that provides resources and tools for conducting data analysis and extracting meaningful insights from large datasets. It is a dedicated space where students can explore, manipulate, and visualize data using various analytical techniques and software. The lab is equipped with 40 machines with Ubuntu 22.04 LTS.

THE STUDENT INDUSTRY CONNECT LAB

The Computer Science and Engineering Department has established an industry-supported laboratory named “Keystone: The student Industry Connect” in collaboration with KeyValue Software Systems, Kochi. The lab consists of high-end machines that will enable the students to work on projects using the latest technology that require intense and fast processing. Through the establishment of the laboratory, a stronger partnership has been established by the department with the industry. Industry-oriented projects and internship facilities are promoted through this initiative. The department endeavours to produce engineers who are well equipped and industry ready.

COMPUTER HARDWARE LAB

The main objective of the hardware lab is to provide the students with knowledge and working of the hardware devices used in the computer like motherboard, RAM, Processor, SMPS, different add- on cards, and other peripherals like printers. Hardware Lab provides students with hands-on experience in computer hardware. C programming, Data structure, and Compiler Design Cycles are also carried out in this lab. System-level programming like MASM is also incorporated in this lab. The lab is also utilised for project-related works. All the systems in this lab are interconnected and backed up with UPS. The lab is equipped with 20 machines with Ubuntu 20.04 LTS.

DATABASE AND MULTIMEDIA LAB

The database lab is well equipped with modern systems to develop knowledge on databases and implementation using Oracle. The lab is also used to familiarise the students with implementing and deploying web applications. C programming, Data structure, and Compiler Design Experiments are also carried out in this lab. The lab is also utilised for project-related works. All the systems in this lab are interconnected and backed up with UPS. The lab is equipped with 33 machines with Ubuntu 20.04 LTS.

NETWORK SYSTEMS LAB

This laboratory is dedicated to experiments described in the curriculum in Networking and Programming. The lab is equipped with state-of-art components required for the completion of the lab cycle. A computer science workshop that includes Python programming is carried out in this lab. Data Structure Lab and Graphics lab were supported with C programming. LEX and YACC compilers are used for doing Compiler Design Lab. It provides modern computational facilities to undergraduate students. The lab is also utilised for project-related works for final-year students. A wired network is provided to all computers in the lab. The Network Systems lab is implemented with a UPS backup system. The lab is equipped with 30 machines with Ubuntu 20.04 LTS.

Research Lab

Research lab computers are used by postgraduate students for their project works. The research lab constantly seeks projects that accomplish two goals: To engage students in open-ended, technically challenging, real-world design projects and Provides a podium to the students with the innovative mindset to work with tools and software packages to transform his/her idea into a product. The lab is equipped with 25 machines with Ubuntu 20.04 LTS.

FIST Lab

Fund for Improvement of S&T Infrastructure (FIST) lab is intended to provide basic infrastructure and enable facilities to promote R&D activities in new and emerging areas and attract fresh talents in universities & other educational institutions.

Software Engineering & cyber security Module

Software Engineering Module and Cyber Security Module is an extension of Network Systems Lab under MODROB (MODERNISATION AND REMOVAL OF OBSOLESCENCE). Students are scheduled to do project-related work in these Modules. The lab is equipped with 15machines with an operating system Ubuntu 20.04 LTS.

Department Library

A well-furnished, fully computerized digital library with computer-aided search facilities is at the disposal of the students. The library maintains more than 1000 volumes, including books, latest periodicals, journals, and technical papers to keep the students abreast of the latest advancements and modern trends in various fields of science and technology. Students can get photocopies or soft copies of the study materials for further reference. The library is connected by LAN of campus and the Internet.
